Took five days to do a three day job. Did not remove mess, rubbish and detritus left during procedures. Issues picked up by electrician include; when Genie wired the boiler into a socket, Genie did not use rubber grommet to protect the wire from cutting and damage from the back box. Wire could be seen to be damaged, occurred during fitting. Also did not run an earth to the back box. Cut floor board missed the joist, so when he replaced it, the floor board was knowingly being supported by a copper water pipe where I would often stand, in front of the cupboard. This has required supporting brackets to rectify. See pic. Has plumbed in the lounge radiator in the wrong way around, and now the Tado Smart Thermostatic Valve will not function properly (has refused to rectify this despite Tado explaining this is why their smart valve unit is not working properly, giving accurate readings) The radiator is also very noisy now, independent plumber reports likely due to the valves being on the wrong way around. Has installed boiler outlet on exterior wall and informed me that gases might blow back into my house due to the wind. This now needs raising and should have been done for safety in the first instance when noticed. (will report this to Gas Safe) Very unreliable, did not turn up to plumb in the kitchen sink for Christmas as agreed, that caused much inconvenience. Would suggest you shop around both for quality, safety, reliability and any assurance that mistakes might be put right. Genie won't give you any of those. Service: Water heater installation
