Overall a nice stay at Wheelbarrow Castle if not a little pricey for the quality. Its a lovely old place with some great features but the furniture could do with an upgrade - sofas, beds, dining chairs and another TV wouldnt go a miss in the large room. Our problem after staying was the hot tub folliculitis we all broke out in, which is caused by an unclean tub or incorrect PH levels. We contacted the owner who just replied to say its drained between visitors and balanced correctly. Proof is in the pudding when 7 of 9 users broke out in spots and felt unwell within a matter of days. Be cautious of the tub!!!

Lovely building and great location to use as a base. Ideally situated not far from leominster and close to lots of local attractions. Tech and fixtures / fittings could do with some TLC, as taps were wobbly and very hard to shut off in some bathrooms, kitchenwares could also do with a refresh and a cull as lots of old odd looking utensils badly organised made finding them a nightmare when trying to cook. Sofas were also a bit tired and hard to get out of, although we're comfy enough to sit in. If you are looking for a getaway from modern tech then you will be fine. TV was a nice 50 inch plasma circa 2007 so no hd or smart features. It was also the only one there in a room which sat 8 to 10 people. WiFi is only really available in the main sitting room too, and struggled when several people were using it. Saying all this we still had a good time catching up with the family and chatting in the courtyard, Oh don't forget to bring some hangers with you too, as there are very few there which meant we had to live out of our suitcase for the week
