Friendly landlord and locals. Recently moved across the road to a larger premises and it looks excellent. The cask was really well kept. Lovely Kent brewery beers. Lovely cosy lounge area at the back and bright open and relaxed front of house. The whole place felt very welcoming. Only stopped for a short while and time seemed to pass by very quickly here.

I am never disappointed with the ale here - although I would like there to be a porter or stout more often.. Otherwise great ale, ciders and a selection of wines and alcohol free beverages with a good regular crew. A sandwich from the sandwich shop and an ale make the perfect lunch. Just got to remember to turn the phone off.
