Service would be greatly improved if they would text when prescription is ready to collect to avoid wasted journeys and phone calls. Boots do this (but are closed far too often!).

Eakins Chemist. What can I say. My wife used these as Boots could not order her medication. Well iwas with Boots but was treated badly. I now use Eakins and so glad I changed to a small family run business. They are helpful kind and treat me how I hope I treat them. Kind and considerate. Also as I'm on crutches staff often ask me if I need them to open the door. But I manage this on my own but I love being asked. I cannot rate Eakins Chemist enough. Thank you all so much.

Female staff member unbelievably rude on the phone. My partner was trying to find out if their perscription was available for pick up and the woman was in a nasty mood because she had to check. Didn't want to waste yet another trip down there after the past 3 days they couldnt find it. Why work in a pharmacy if you get the hump about doing the job. Have switched to an online pharmacy instead and get it delivered instead of keep going back and forth only to get treated nastily in the end.

On the 25th November this year. My partner took a tumble in the High Street, With the help of several passers-by went into Eakins and asked for a chair. This was very fast in appearing. About 12.30 pm the Pharmacist called for an Ambulance as My Partner was in considerable Hip Pain. We sat and waited but were kept warm, and chatted and supplied with offers of tea or coffee until Approximately 6 pm. Not returning home till approximately 5 am Friday. As it turns out there was no fracture in the Hip but the cause of the fall was due to an infection. Which is now with a lot of help from a number of Emergency NHS Staff and 111, beginning to return to a more normal life. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HELPED US IN OUR HOURS OF NEED. Brilliant people one and all.
