Mistvale Chemist

What a shambles. I visited this chemist on Monday 1st May having booked an appointment for my Covid booster via the NHS app. My appointment was confirmed and I received a reminder a couple of days before my appointment. On the bank holiday morning, I checked their web site, and was reassured to find that the chemist posted as open. However, when I arrived it was to find the shutters in place and no sign of the chemist opening. There was nothing posted to say that the place was going to be shut. I rang the phone number from the website and was told there was no-one available and to ring again. By this time there were at least half a dozen people waiting outside, all of whom had confirmed appointments. Admittedly most of us had arranged our appointments through the NHS app, but one person had booked his appointment directly, by phone, with the chemist. This just isn't good enough. Everyone waiting is deemed to be very vulnerable, which is why we had all received invites to have yet another Covid booster and the last thing we needed was to be left stranded wondering what was going on. I don't know how the mix-up occurred but I feel all of us deserve an apology from the chemist. Not that it will be of any use, because I don't intend to be going back there.

Great helpful staff and pharmacists, past and present. ok can be a bit of a wait at times, I think they do a great job.

Shop is a little old-fashioned, and it has had a lot of new staff recently who are still getting used to their jobs, but they all seem friendly and helpful.

Dont bother I waited 35 mins to be seen in a queue of 2 people which has happened on multiple occasions. I also make sure I give my repeat in 5 working days before and always missing or cant find it.
