Just purchased a replacement scooter for my wife as previous one had seen better days. The assistance given by all staff is fantastic. If you need anything for the less mobile among you then this is the place to go! I should add that I have been there several times for different reasons and you can't beat the service you get!

Fantastic customer service, I was very nervous and unsure of what mobility scooter I needed. Vicky explained and showed us a range of different options, I felt like I wasn't rushed or pushed into buying a particular brand or product. She took her time to explain everything and showed us in depth how to use and dismantle the scooter. Nothing seemed problem and I left feeling confident with my new purchase. All members of staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend.

Bought a wheelchair for mum just over a year back. Bought the same chair as was lightweight, foldable and held up to 18 stone. The first chair the main support snapped in half after mum got up which couldve been fatal as couldve easily impaled her . We thought it was wear and tear. We took it into the shop who said it was unfixable so as said bought a replacement (DevilBliss). Within the first month major bolts were coming loose so they sent an en engineer. About a month later the foot plate just fell off in the street so they repaired it. Engineer also found the bolts were loose yet again. Next the brake fell off which he fixed and tightened up the bolts again. Think we had about 3-4 engineer call outs. Although the chair was still well in a year guarantee they said they werent sending out an engineer again and wed have to pay. Never mind I fixed the continuing falling off brake myself and tightened up any bolts that were coming loose. When it was just over its year guarantee the main support again snapped in half. My brother got hold of them as obviously a manufacturing fault and dangerous. It wasnt heavy usage, just used to walk to the end of the village and back most days which isnt far. Safehands told my brother this part was fixable and can either get an engineer out for 80 or buy the part for 25 and fix himself. They reckoned the main support under the chair wasnt part of the frame so holding no responsibility which is ridiculous! Why did they tell us it wasnt fixable when we bought in the first one then having to buy a whole new chair is the question! Went to Care Co in Canterbury to get a different chair as obviously this one or the company can be trusted. I told them all the troubles I had with Safehands and they were truly disgusted. The folding bit under the chair is part of the frame and they were shocked Safehands didnt write out an exempt form for the VAT which is about 25% or more. I will never buy from Safehands again or recommend them as theyre obviously not honest or fair. Ill be going elsewhere!
