Thanks to Dave for an incredible transformation. I'm really happy with the outcome. The photos don't completely convey how small the bathroom is (or maybe they do, but it's around 1.5m x 1.5m). Dave worked with us to maximise the space available by stealing small pockets from the cavities between walls, and was just amazing at responding to small changes in the design when ideas presented themselves. I'm an incredibly fussy person, but Dave's attention to detail was superb. The building threw up a number of problems as the project progressed (the one downside of living in a top floor flat in a late 19th Century building, with plumbing work from the 1970s). Throughout, Dave's zen like patience with the project (and me) meant that even when things were taking longer than planned it was still fun. Couldn't be happier.
