Gary Lamb Counselling

Counselling is a sign of weakness. Thats what I used to think, but Ive come to the conclusion and I genuinely believe everyone could do with some counselling. Weve all got areas in our life of pain and hurt and for me counselling has helped begin a journey of healing. Its like Gary holds up a mirror that I have forgotten to look in for ages and it helps me see the things in my life the good, the bad and the ugly things that have been there for so long that I have often forgotten about that really could do with dealing with. Gary has a way about him that just makes you feel relaxed and welcome. As someone who deals with social anxiety its almost like Garys counselling hut is a place where I can be 100% me with no fear of judgement. I can say what Im really thinking, be raw and real and know all that will come back is a listening and understanding ear. Ive never felt a hint of judgement from Gary but only felt supported and appreciated for who I am when I open up about the messy things in my life. Coming to counselling initially I guess I thought that Gary may wave a magic wand and make my problems disappear. Which isnt how it works. In fact Id say its more like counselling has given me the keys to unlock doors in my life I didnt know in some cases had been locked shut for years and had been keeping me from experiencing a full life. Its never going to be a quick fix situation but rather its been a journey of discovering who I am so that I can be my greatest ally where before I have been my own worst enemy. Thank you Gary for offering such a welcoming environment. Your sessions have been priceless and I highly recommend them to anyone!
