We use JWSurveys to come and look at damp issues raised during various pre-purchase surveys as we wanted to get an impartial and professional advice on the extent and the real causes of such damp. Scott was extremely professional and approachable, the report we receive is clear and not loaded with jargons, and contains actionable next steps and recommendations. J W Surveys Ltd was recommended to me by a friend, as a company of truly independent surveyors. Joe's report was very thorough, detailed and clearly written. I was given the opportunity to comment on the first draft and the few aspects that I did not fully understand were clarified or elaborated on in the final version. The report arms me with the knowledge I need prior to obtaining builder's quotes. Most importantly, it prevents me from falling foul of the widespread rising damp 'scam'.

I would highly recommend Joe Wilson at JW Surveys. He is extremely knowledgeable and really understands buildings. At the very least use him before spending money on any works that are usually recommended (based on erroneous analysis). He is also very professional and a lovely person.

I would happily recommend JWSuveys for a building survey. Joe carried it out quickly, the report was sent fast and feedback on queries was prompt. The report was clear, written in plain English and thorough ( which is rarely the case!) with lots of information and recommendations on various aspects of the property. A very professional service. Highly recommended!
