I applied, they took one day to reject my application on grounds which are not described as being a reason for a payment.
How can you make an appropriate application if they do not make explicit the grounds on which you can apply.
Instead they want you to prove homelessness instead of the likelihood of this happening.
I am appalled at the tone staff take when you challenge rules which are not written, to them you are a leach, they are better than you because they are not asking for help.
They are judgmental and self righteous to those that need the support they are paid to provide.
I have witnesses this so often throughout my years in social housing, they are completely missing the point being without people being in social housing and needing support they would not be in employment!
Start thinking of these people as your customers whose council tax pays your salary, not as problems to be dismissed as quickly and abruptly as possible.
