Great local shop known as 'the gem' tons of products. Like a mini supermarket with great opening times. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

This is the worst shop in Hythe. Most of the produce is out of date and you only realise when you get home. They tell you that they can't accept card payments for paypoints (e.g gas, electric) and then change their mind in a few seconds and tell you they can but will have to put a charge on your card for it. They are majorly inconsistent with the card charges one day it is 30p the next it could be 50p or 70p. I also found out recently that it's now against the law to charge any extra for using any kind of card as payment and that came into force in January 2018. I will not be using this shop ever again and I would strongly advice anyone else thinking of using this shop not to.
