My Little Shop of Cakes

Vanessa did my son's 6th birthday cake. He wanted a Big ben themed cake. I spoke to a few bakers in town but most of them suggested a photo cake and I felt that was a compromise. I found Vanessa's website and everything happened very quickly after that. Vanessa was very proactive in sending designs and ideas and flavours and including clear instructions on pick up time and place. We had an absolute art work of a cake for the birthday party and it was a very big hit amongst children and adults alike.. Thank you so much.

Vanessa made us the most beautiful wedding cake, we had a 3 tier cake made up of Lemon Drizzle, Victoria Sponge and Red Velvet, every tier tasted delicious and our guests couldn't stop raving about it! Vanessa made our wedding cake (for our August 2022 wedding). I had a vague idea of what I wanted, but wasn't imaginative enough to think if ways to enhance/ personalise my idea. Vanessa was amazing at asking the right questions so she could suggest ideas to fit with our theme. For example, I'd mentioned our colour scheme was sage green and gold, but we didn't have much gold. Vanessa suggest adding edible gold flecks to the icing. The cake was beautiful and delicious, and Vanessa was lovely to work with.

Thank you so much for our wedding cake on 28th May 2022! It was delicious! We had SO many compliments on it, and it surpassed the photo-inspiration we gave you and looked and tasted even better than we had imagined! The Biscoff layer was really unique, I particularly loved the Red Velvet, and we took some of the leftover Lemon Drizzle on honeymoon which was delicious! Thank you again! Nikki and Rob
