Absolutely fantastic week just spent in pretty much glorious weather at Bude and it's surrounding area along with our lodging at The Beach Haven. Tim and his comms were absolutely on point and incredibly helpful at any point we needed him during the stay (hardly at all). The location as others have said was ideal and the space relaxing and comfortable with all the mod cons you'd need. We stayed with another family and our black lab Dexter who absolutely loved the beaches and sea. The kids did as well with their way access to boards and excellent waves! Wouldn't hesitate in booking again! Thanks Tim!

We have stayed at The Beach Haven for a few years now. It really meets our needs. We're a multi generational family. Grandparents,Son, daughter in law and 3 Grandsons. We have a wheelchair user my husband, and Grandsons range in age 18, 15 and 8. We take our own portable ramp to get into the bungalow and we only use the over bath/ shower seat. The wheelchair user can transfer on his own. Lots of other aids are available though. And despite the Grandsons age, the family still want to stay again. Eldest Grandson stays when able due to college/ work commitments. The Grandsons enjoy fishing. Sea fishing from Instow ( bass) or Rock ( lots of mackerel). Carp fishing along the Bude Canal . Permits from the post office. Paddle boarding. Body boarding. Rock pools. Camel trail which is wheelchair accessible . Dog friendly. We take 2 dogs. One needs a pushchair to the beach and loves it. The other one is lazy! Dogs allowed on beaches off lead before 10.00 and after 6.00 pm. It's just a perfect holiday for us all. It's only 10 minutes at most to walk to the beach or Sainsbury's supermarket. Highly recommended. And us Grandparents are going back for a couple's week!!

We've stayed here several times now because it's the best holiday home we've stayed in and we've stayed in a lot of cottages before. It's a great location within walking distance to the beach and town, easy parking and lovely facilities - from the comfortable supportive bed, to the showers which work and the kitchen is a great set up if you like cooking. The woodburner is a delight to use, and when the weathers a bit warmer you can sit in the suntrap in the garden throughout the day. There are foamy surfboards and body boards to make the most of the beach. The location is quiet and relaxing and Tim and Maria are amazing hosts and always make sure you have what you need. Definitely recommend Beach Haven if you want a relaxing easy holiday!

My family and I have not long returned from our 2 week stay in the Beach Haven. Bude is not an area we have been to before so it was great to see some new places such as Port Isaac, Padstow, Boscastle, Tintagel and Morwenstow (fab tea room). It is also well placed for exploring North Devon. The beaches are fab and we made use of the body boards the owner's kindly provide. The bungalow is spacious and thoughtfully equipped. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival. I had the master bedroom and the bed was really comfortable. All the bedding and towels were super clean. A pretty well stocked garden with a viewing balcony giving views of the sea leads on from the kitchen. The walk into Bude town and the beach was around 10 mins and we did this many times!! It's a fantastic base with amenities, coast and country all on your doorstep, and offers good value accommodation. The owners are very helpful and made the experience seamless. Thank you!
