READ BEFORE YOU TAKE A MORTGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY. Due to a serious life limiting health condition, I allowed my business partner to exit our property company. All the mortgage lenders we have were compassionate and allowed him to exit personal guarantees and leave me as sole guarantor for mortgages....all except Fleet. They would not allow him to resign as Director, thus forcing us to remortgage and pay them 7000 in early redemption fees and importantly 6 months of stress to find a new lender etc. They have no compassion or morality. They treat you as a number. I will never ever use this company again, even if they had 0% interest rates. Check the small print....these guys will hold you to every letter. Not all lenders are like this.... They asked him to prove to them he had the life limiting illness - we sent medical records which we did, only to be told they won't allow him to resign as a director anyway. Their reasoning was their funders won't allow it. Total waste of time. I have to add further that when we took the mortgage out they were so slow and inefficient, drip feeding requests for information. I should have binned them at the start. There are plenty of lenders around...dont just be blinded by low rates...always balance it with service performance. I see my experience with them is similar to other reviews here and trustpilot....

Very slow, and I do not mean thorough. Mundane questions asked throughout the process and never all at once. Piecemeal and customer service (which we are no longer ) non existent, we are Account holders. Completed in the end, but in 20 years of mortgages, this was the most painful

One of the worst lenders in the market. They are so slow and demand unnecessary information which no other lender asks. They are so useless that I lost a good deal because of them. They will keep asking information every time you ask them for an update. Eventually, you will just fed up and withdraw your application. The fee you have already paid to them is waisted as it was non refundable. Avoid them at all cost as they will cost you dearly.

Worst company and dodgy company for Mortigages I have very bad experience I try to remortigage my house with Fleet, they have taken 3 months to valuation, the lender panel is only few solicitors when we ask for quotation the solicitor do not respond, we end up having same solicitor for lender and borrower, obviously lender taken advantage to manipulate with solicitor, mortgage offer letter to reach to the solicitor from the lender taken nearly three weeks, valuation only valid for six months, we end up paying feed for independent legal advisor fee and accountant fee, After all this stress valuation time six months diminished, fleet refused to accept extension for two weeks, so we have made the complaint waiting for reply

Very un happy with the service Im not sure who to blaim here... The bank or the solicitors, i have delt with many lenders but non of them have made me sweat like these guys have.
