My dog was so well cared for, she stayed for 2 weeks with Angie, who managed the complex dietary needs for my dog who was recovering from a severe illness and surgery. I would definitely recommend anyone to leave their dogs for long term day care or overnight/ longer stays!

When we met Angie 3 months ago, we didn't have a dog yet, as unfortunately our passed away last year. We started considering taking a puppy from a litter that would have been ready at the end of October and clearly explained to her that we would not take the puppy unless we had a plan for the Christmas period, since we had already booked our plane tickets to go and visit our family abroad. The puppy would be 4 months old at Christmas so we wanted to make sure he could be boarded despite his young age. She had reassured us that this was going to be no problem whatsoever, she was used to puppies and would have taken him for the full 10 days period. She took the commitment, based on which we took the puppy, because we had a plan for Christmas. She asked us to have a first trial night stay with her after his vaccines would be done. Prior to the trial night I have informed her that he was not fully house trained (being only 14 weeks old he still had needs at night). As well, she mentioned bringing over his crate, to which I have clearly replied he was not crated. The morning after the trial night, I received stressed messages from Angie, stating that Rocco had a poo at 1AM (I'd like to understand where the exact timing came from...) and walked into it, that he was absolutely not house trained and that he cried at night so she could not take him for Christmas, as it would not be fair to any of the dogs being woken up by him howling. She said I had to find another solution or she would suggest a kennel. When I tried to reply that he was only a puppy and that she said she was ready to care for him despite his young age, she started finding excuses such as that I had previously told her he would be crated (you mentioned he would be crated, all the pups are No, not all puppies are crated Angie, welcome to the real world), which is just a big lie as I am 100% against crating and therefore I would have never told her that. Anyway, if she accepted only crated dogs, she should have put it in her terms and conditions, which she didn't. You can imagine my surprise and disappointment at this, she took the commitment of looking after a puppy three months ago and was walking away from the commitment 2 weeks before the date, because the puppy had a poo during the night and because he cried This was not his house, it was the first time he was there and he is only 14 weeks old. All of his reactions were perfectly normal and to be expected. Thanks to the breeder I could find someone else really ready to take him for the period, at the very last minute. I do however find Angie's behaviour very unprofessional. She is not reliable. If she is in the dog boarding business (which she is just new to), then she either sets limitations such as puppies over 6 months old (which is the age when they acquire full control of sphincters, just letting you know Angie), or only crated dogs (yes, not all dogs are crated Angie), or otherwise she is simply not ready to do this job. There is no job in the service world in where you can pick and choose your customers: if she wants only beauty contest, statue-like dogs, she should not offer her services to small puppies, and then not honour them. I wont be considering her services again and I will make sure people around me are aware of what has happened.
