Poor management, unorganized, always making a difference between people and nations, houses poor quality. Lots of health and safety concerns.Avoid working there 100%, they don't make houses, they bring already make and added on foundation, like big lego pieces, very poor quality and espensive for buyers. If you are British you are a good worker, if you are not British they will find reasons fired you up making you look like a bad worker.

I am posting this under a different name but I want to do a honest review. The interview process is easy but the actual interview itself isnt very well planned random higher up staff are asked to interview and its done in the canteen with workers eating and chatting. On a offer you then go for the induction day which was a long drive for some. Though entertaining in parts some of what was said raised a eyebrow and red flags but I try not to cast judgement. 2nd day is tool training you are standing for hours in very uncomfortable work boots provided to and it was dysfunctional and not planned very well and it was in a small room. After this is was not returning and for these reason they bang on about heath and safety yet a failed to see how that was even implied on the factory some were not using the PPE provided wires, big puddles of water, large nails and plastic all over the floor tools just dumped on the floor not to mention people not paying attention to ware there moving stuff. I also couldnt hear a word of whats being said over the noise and other trying to be in the front. There were a few tools I was extremely uncomfortable with and didnt want to use but the answer you get is dont learn you dont pass though someone did try to help my request was refused however I felt it was more they just didnt want to bother helping me take my time for one day or one morning. I cannot fault the staff though there were nice though office staff were constantly staring at you which made me feel uncomfortable and some staff watching and laughing at us. I also take issue to the pay day staff are paid significantly less then the late team so to put it in perspective day staff produce more houses around 6 late staff do 2 yet get paid 4000 more for actually doing less. I understand late is always paid more with every company but your producing the same amount I felt this was unfair day staff should be on minimum 27,000 not 25,000. Parking is horrendous your told how your meant to park yet I failed to see over half the staff cars parked correctly. I do believe this place is the future but from what Ive seen and heard they have a seriously long way to go. I think in part of they would have given me one extra day I would still be there working and learning and did my best but because there was no willingness to help me I had to walk away and given how quick I got my resignation email they clearly dont care and in fact you are just considered a number which makes me see why staff turnover is extremely high.

Friday 1st July 2022 Update...... Having worked for Ilke Homes for approx 6 months, I can say I am enjoying my time here, I have progressed since starting with them. I joined the SHE (Health & Safety Team) I have passed my IOSH , Safety Management and my First Aid at Work. There are lots of opportunities to progress further within Ilke Homes if you really want it. My advice is, work hard, always put yourself forward for progression, work wise, yes it does get slow sometimes, but this is due to works on the units, but there is always something to do. I have been involved from day one with the new process for the fitting of window and doors etc, which will help speed up the production. Personally, for myself as stated below, this was a great move for me, and I am really enjoying my time at Ilke Homes and the guys I work with are great and you can have banter which helps. ................................................................................................................. Due to me wanting a more work/life balance, I decided to look into another career path and was introduced to Ilke Homes. I attended an interview at Ikler Homes, Flaxbey and was given a factory tour, which I must admit, I was rather impressed with the concept of the affordable housing they were building. After being successful in the interview, I was offered a position, my first few days were tool training, even though I was used to using the tools, it was still good to get a refresher and pick up new ideas. When I was placed in my section within the factory, my section leader is a great guy and the guys I am working with are a good set of lads and always wanting to help if required. If you are looking for a more work/life balance, I would recommend applying and I forgot to mention the shifts partners are good 6am-2pm or 2.30pm-10.30pm, Mon-Fri.
