We stayed at the byways boutique b&b in the quaint, quiet village of flaxby were you can relax in beautiful surroundings inside and outside & be spoilt at the same time.This is the 3rd time we have stayed and had 2 brilliant nights yet again everything 100%. A big huge thank you to Caroline & of course Charlie the (cockerpoo) for making our stay the best ever.

Could not ask for better hosts. Everything they could do for us was done without question or delay. Beautiful property, lovely garden and the comfort of the rooms we had was brilliant. Breakfast for all of us was also excellent and plentiful, with lop quality local produce used. The homemade jams and preserves were tasty and we got a bag of the first plums from the tree in the garden. They were delicious. We loved meeting Caroline and Darren and also Charlie to dog who made friends with us all straight away. Our dog Rufus loved playing in the garden.I have no doubt that we shall return and do what we didn't manage to do this time. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Egypt Room at Byeways B&B. From start to finish it was all good and we were made to feel welcome from the outset. Room comfort and cleanliness was of the highest standard. Chilled filtered water provided daily in our room as well as fresh milk this along with quality biscuits and caramels pushed usual room tea and coffee making facilities up a notch or two. The breakfast had everything you could wish for and more besides with home made jams and food prepared and presented reflecting the quality and attention to detail that appeared to be the norm at Byways. Caroline and Darren were great hosts and their knowledge and recommendations helped us get the most out of our three day visit to Knaresborough. The garden and outlook were perfect for relaxing in before setting off to or when getting back from anywhere. Would not hesitate to stay at Byways again when visiting this part of the UK. The countryside location just three miles from the lovely town of Knaresborough suited us perfectly and indeed is a great location for many of the attractions in this part of the world. The Tiger Inn three quarters of a mile away do lovely meals and is reasonably priced. We also had a great meal at The Two Brothers in Knaresborough were Caroline and Darren have negotiated a discount for guests.
