Went there for the first time for a 24 hour trial period. Went very well. Our dog Dolly, a Saluki X (lurcher) also had a bath, grooming etc whilst there. Took our own dog food but they can provide it for you. 11 kennels. Would recommend. Phone up for an appointment first. Will be using again for a longer period next time.

Took our shih tzu here for the first time today for a groom. Friendly and welcoming staff. We were consulted about what we wanted done and any issues they needed to be aware of. Beth did his groom today and she did an amazing job, just what we wanted and he smells lovely too. Our dog was looked after throughout. Reasonably priced, great reminder text message system and booking confirmation emails.

The team at Ashgate did a fantastic job of grooming Twiggy. Would highly recommend.

Received bad advice from this groomer regarding puppy's first groom. They told me I had to have 3 appointments to acclimatise the pup to the various tools and handling which seems a little ott?? over a 3 month period???? we were then told he could not be groomed for 6 months?? I think this is just a way to generate business? and when I enquired with several more professional groomers they all told me he could be groomed at 8/10 weeks as soon as he had received his 2nd jab and acclimatising him to the procedures/handling could all be done at home and maybe 20 mins in the parlour with the clippers running and hair dryer etc. I. Took others advice and clipped his nails, bathed him brushed his coat and introduced to him to my personal hair clippers (obviously didn't use them) touching him with them etc and was totally at ease with it all. Needless to say if you are looking for a groomer I wouldn't recommend these.
