The Fittleworth Gallery

The Fittleworth Gallery was an unexpected and welcome surprise that we happened upon during a short visit to Sussex. An interesting mixture of new and established artists work, in a range of media. The kind of place where you might just come across something really special. Robert, was both welcoming and knowledgeable and we look forward to visiting this gem of a gallery again.

A well thought-out gallery, with a wonderful atmosphere, really friendly owner and such beautiful and intriguing art - you'll want to come away with a piece just like we did! My wife and I are so glad we stopped to visit The Fittleworth Gallery just recently! We were on our way to Petworth when we saw that the gallery was open. We were able to park right outside. The beautiful and interesting large paintings in the window enticed us in. The gallery owner's warm welcome was a lovely addition, asking for our preferences for the background music and offering tea and coffee. There is a real mixture of art, with varied styles of paintings and sculptures - something for everyone! There is a really warm feel to the place with Robert giving us the right amount of space to view the art leisurely and the right amount of insightful knowledge about the pieces and artists. We agree with another reviewer that this is the kind of place where you might just come across something really special. We certainly did! We both fell in love with one particular painting, so much so we took it home with us. I also had a really thought-provoking moment with a large sculpture. It was such a worthwhile visit. We were there for quite a while and the whole experience was really rather special. We can't wait to visit again and look forward to future exhibitions! We'd recommend your own trip here as soon as you can make it.
