One of the uks ten oldest cricket grounds. Lovely location and right next to The Ram Inn.....an amazing old pub with great food. What's not to like!

First came across Firle CC on a glorious August Sunday afternoon a few years ago, leisurely watching a friendly game of cricket post lunch at The Ram. Was left with the impression then that this beautiful ground must harbour some cricket magic, and so it was that nearly 30 years after last playing, in 2019, I plucked up the courage to join the club and sneak a batting average just shy of 5. For potential players, my advice is come and play at Firle - lovely bunch of eclectic eccentrics keep the club going, summer after summer and do sterling justice to it's 262 years of heritage. The tea at Firle is surely the best in the East Sussex Cricket League and if citizens of this fair district needed a venue for a social event, you'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful and better value spot in the summer months.
