Better Lives

Really terrible service, though I never got to experience much of it due to how badly organised they are. I was referred to them through my support worker, and after waiting a while had an initial telephone assessment. I was then called by someone else who asked the same questions again, and when I told them I had already answered these questions they were not aware, and could not find the information. This was the first sign of a lack of organisation. After that I had a couple of brief phone calls with one of the staff there, who would book telephone appointments for me, but consistently called me late, or just not bother at all, and I would sit around waiting for nothing. For a service that is supposed to help vulnerable people with addiction and mental health problems, the attitude was just completely disinterested and apathetic, with no respect for other peoples time. After weeks of this I expressed my frustration, and I was told I would receive a call from another member of staff there, though, unsurprisingly, this call never came. After my support worker was forced to chase them up several times, I had had enough and told her not to bother because it just seemed like a complete waste of time and the experience did not give me any assurance that they would be helpful to me. Thankfully I found a much better service elsewhere.

I've been with this service since they were based on Holloway Road and I can honestly say all they have done is help me. I've been really lucky with the keywokers I've been given over the years. Without this service I don't no where I would be! I give them % credit for all the hard work they do.

I keep emailing also called a couple of time about my husband drinking and taking tablets online but no one seem to get back to me my husband been doing for so long but goes better lives and still does it

Better lives thats a joke it should be could mess up lives the key workers are joke dont know any thing about addiction reception are rude ( they have there faves )
