Peter Hall Designs

We found Peter on the internet. He restored and replated a pair of candelabra and a wine coater for us. The candelabra are heavily indented in thier design and almost black. I can't believe just how superb they look now. It was worth every mile to travel out to see him. The coaster looks brand new and he also polished a silver stag for us. W are extremely happy with his work which was done at a remarkably fair price. We would thoroughly recommend Peter for restorative work and I believe that he also does commisions.

I can only echo, and endorse, the thoughts expressed in previous reviews; an absolute craftsman (so very rare these days, it seems), very knowledgeable (and willing to pass on that knowledge, it was fascinating talking to Peter), and highly skilled, taking an evident pride in his work. Peter crafted a specialised key for us which genuinely exceeded our expectations - quality of workmanship was absolutely first class and Peters ideas in the design itself spot-on. I would thoroughly recommend Peter.

We wanted to restore a Sheffield plate Centre piece and had exhausted all the Essex based leads we had been given. It would seem that Craftsmen like Peter are few and far between now so we made the 100 mile round journey to meet him. His knowledge was exemplary and so interesting for us to learn about our family heirloom. The Centre piece is now beautifully restored. We are delighted and would highly recommend Peter.
