Findon Rest

Having stayed at Findon Rest before we were looking forward to staying a second time. In a great location the room is compact, and clean with a super comfy bed. It's great for a one night stay when visiting relatives. However.... this time we were woken up sometime before 9am by the sound of kids outside our door rattling the key lock box, and although check out isn't until 10am...at 9.30 the 'host' just let herself into our room without even a cursory knock! Luckily for us we were dressed but it could so easily have put us in an awkward position. Would I stay here again? After that...probably not!

Rooms: Dirty, dusty, mouldy, cold, low ceilings, no warning signs, uneven floors no signs, steep stairs. Safety: Fire door doesn't even seal. Cleanliness is dangerously low. Emergency lighting works, shame it's right above your face whilst you're sleeping. woodlouse infestation, no handle to get out of bathroom door. No warning signs about very low ceilings and uneven floors Food & drinks: You get tea and coffee, milk sugar and coffee. There is a filthy microwave and smelly fridge too if you're feeling brave.

Didn't stay at Findon rest but stayed at worthing rest which is under same management bed was comfortable bathroom cleaning wasn't the best as shower has black mold around the base, toilet seat moves while sitting on. building is under renovation I'm guessing as cracks in the walls and paint pots are dotted around. Couldn't get heater to come on and WiFi didn't work kept saying that the password was incorrect
