From the first consultation with Amy I just knew she understood exactly what I was after. And oh boy - she didnt disappoint. I felt incredible on the day. The dress was everything. Why buy something off the shelf when you can get your dream dress made for you; to fit perfectly! And within budget too. Gorgeous boutique shop ;With so many dresses and accessories to help find the perfect style / design. Amy couldnt have been more accommodating- with all the necessary last minute adjustments in the final few days before the big day. Im already planning to renew my vows in a few years - to commission a new and different dress from her! And I cannot wait.

When I came across Velvet birdcage online, I instantly fell in love with Amy and Katies modern designs. This for me, a not so traditional bride, revolutionised the idea of bridal gowns! I must say the 2.5 hour travel was well worth the visit! From the first appointment, we got to work straight away. Amy went above and beyond and was on call to answer my many questions. When we reached the final fitting, I didnt want to leave. I absolutely love my dress. I didnt want to change out of it. The entire journey from start to finish was very magical. Best decision I ever made. You wont be disappointed.

Velvet birdcage is the place to go they created the most incredible bridesmaids dresses for me , they have an amazing eye for detail with terrific ideas ! Nothing was to much trouble and terrific fun to work with ! Highly recommend

Amy is truly an angel on earth! the ladies at velvet bird cage are just what i needed after a few awkward wedding dress fittings and a sweaty few others. Amy made me feel right at ease, and understood my style and vision for the wedding the proceeded to make the most beautiful thing i will ever wear in my life! i wish i'd started here first! The process was so easy and i was in constant contact with Amy about ideas and changes. START HERE, you will not regret it. Amy is honest, hilarious, creative and just all round a good person to know- especially when i forgot to buy a veil one week before the wedding, Amy was quick with the solutions and short cuts. She made this part of the wedding planning so easy and effortless and flattery will get you everywhere- Just a GIGANTIC thank you and if i get married again, shell be the first person i contact!
