We chose Poolside Manor for a crash course in 2021 to build the children's confidence after Covid, but unfortunately my son who was 8 at the time, had his confidence crushed by a teacher who in my opinion shouldn't have been working with children. He punished children he deemed to be 'not listening' by removing them from the pool and making them sit, cold and miserable, poolside. Other parents had the same experience, inluding one mother of a 4 year old. My son, who is very law-abiding and very well-behaved, couldn't hear the teacher due to his hat covering his ears and the noise levels, and this was interpreted as bad behaviour and not listening. We had chosen Poolside as we had been there previously and enjoyed it. The aim was to grow the children's love of being in the water and rebuild their skills. Instead my son was punished and humiliated. My son, now 9, is still having to rebuild his confidence with swimming after this experience. We're now at Oakleigh Park where the teachers are kind, fun and respectful to the different needs of children and their different confidence levels. I can see the difference in approach here. My son is slowly regaining his confidence - for nearly two years now, he didn't want to have any kind of swimming lesson again. I would not chose Poolside again unless I knew they had changed their approach and removed that particular member of staff from their team.

Nice pool to learn swimming but the teachers are a bit uninterested. Car park option is perfect.

Disappointing and a half. I signed up for the adult swim group. I found it wasn't what I was looking for in terms of dynamic structured swim coaching to help me help me learn to breath properly and improve while swimming front crawl. It felt like a casual paddle in the pool with periodic reassurance that swallowing lots of water while swimming is usual. Half of the pool is so shallow I was on my knees, which I personally didn't find to be comfortable having a knee issue, though I understand this might be for some others. I decided to stop as I didn't feel I was getting what I wanted personally and it isn't a comfortable pool, and requested a refund. I was further disappointed by the woman I spoke with, who I found to be accusatory in tone, unreceptive, and defensive. A little customer-centred customer service and kindness goes a long way. I would not recommend this if you want clear structure swim coaching specifically. The lessons are entirely non-refundable once paid for in full. I have since found elsewhere to go for swim coaching.

Our sons ages 3 and 9, absolutely love poolside manor. Our youngest has some anxiety about the pool and Vicki has been incredible in reducing this. His lessons are fun, personalised and completely suit what he needs. Since learning with Vicki his confidence has grown massively to the point where he was going down all the water slides on holiday this summer with total glee. Vicki is such a competent skilled creative and warm lady who goes above and beyond. Our older son who is now 9 also began as a nervous swimmer. Today he is a skilled confident swimmer who loves the pool, due to Vicki and her teams care and support! I am a Child Psychologist and I know I am not always easy to please when it comes to my kids, however with Vicki I completely trust her and know she can 100% support the children, help them make progress and achieve to their full potential. Poolside camp is also great fun for the boys. They love the climbing wall, bouncy castle, pool and different activities on offer especially the tuc shop! But also the relationships they have with the staff who are so caring and kind and help them feel comfortable and happy. Thank you Vicki to you and the team for everything. 5*** all round experience!

I think its is not good place because its too small, dark and dirty. They have just one hair dryer and you want to use it, you have to stay and dry your child hair in entrance of pool!!!!! Curtains have mold!!! Generally I am not happy with them.
