Let me be clear - this is a review of the takeaway only not the dine-in restaurant. This isn't a bad place to get a take-out fish and chips. Quite reasonably priced and a lunchtime offer of a small fish and chips and a drink for about 6 which is good value. I visited recently in Feb and they still do it. The girl who served me was a bit surly, but the staff here seem to generally have a bit of an attitude problem. They just can't help being unintentionally rude most of the time. I asked for fresh chips because I could see the ones in the tray had been sitting for some time. The answer was very snappy. "Yes, yes" she said, like I was asking for something completely unreasonable. If I'm spending ten pounds on a piece of fish and chips I want it all hot and fried to order. Not chips that have been sitting for twenty minutes. The fish was nice and the chips were pretty good too but still included chewy small bits that were in the bottom of the chip holder. I don't know what the restaurant is like but it looks expensive to me.
