Owners/ leaders approach is my way or the highway. Dont want to accommodate to familys individuals needs or requests. Very arrogant behaviour.

The Nursery looked like a paradise resort when we visited. My first child thrived under the great teachers and Manager that were hired the years she was there. My second child was a different story. All the teachers had changed and with constant bickering amongst the classrooms the entire experience was a negative one. We should have realised when the menu choices were implemented without any parents consent. Thereafter, shock rises in fees came without any reason or benefit to our children. With the recent covid19 pandemic and nursery closing, the communication from the management has been the most unprofessional and rude we have ever encountered. With parents losing jobs and unable to balance childcare with work, We were shocked to be charged 100% for the first month and then charged 80% of fees for the second, whilst on lockdown with neither of my children attending. (All other local nurseries chose to be considerate during these hard times and offered to wave fees or reduce to 10%) Our rosy view of this nursery has been shattered by the greed and animosity from its management. The teachers are fantastic and we can not fault them, however a team is only as good as its leadership. WARNING: Choose a nursery that loves your children at least as much as its awards and profits! Hands down the best nursery in Finchley, if not beyond. Energetic, committed, engaged and caring staff; excellent facilities; an inspiring environment and great food - all of which fosters a v special community and helps nurture wonderful little human beings.

When choosing a nursery for our children there is only one choice in Finchley and that is The Rocking Horse Nursery. They really go beyond the call of duty with the care of our children and they are so much more than just childcare, they are the support network (partnership with parents), the friend, the role models, the educators, the inspirations, the people who are molding well behaved, inquisitive young adults and getting them completely ready for school. The general care for every child is just beyond brilliant. The key workers, practitioners and management are all outstanding and although I appreciate it is hard to get in due to waiting lists, it really is worth getting on the waiting list and being persistent as you may be as fortunate as us and we really feel so lucky. Gold is always hard to obtain, and they really are gold! Thank you so much for everything you do for my monkeys and for me and my husband, as we have really benefited from your knowledge and care. We are incredibly grateful!

The Rocking Horse Nursery is a magical place! It is so welcoming, nurturing, happy and homely. For me it is hands down the best nursery I have seen. My son, who used to sob uncontrollably when I dropped him off at his previous nursery now starts laughing and smiling when we arrive at Rocking Horse, excited about his day ahead. The staff are friendly and genuinely loving and caring towards all the children and they are a lot of fun too! The nursery building and garden are beautifully maintained and often looks miraculously organised like Mary Poppins has visited! The Rocking Horse also has very good technology for parents to keep up to date with their children - a fantastic tracking app and webcam service. Plus a the online journal system Tapestry. As a parent I also feel welcome and involved in the nursery as the nursery managers frequently arrange social events and workshops. I also love the fact the nursery is very environmentally conscious in they way it is run, teaching children to respect our planet from a young age. I could say so much more! I am so thankful my son goes there! He is in the Kingfishers class.
