We made an appointment to view a rental property here. The area was far from we currently live and it took close to an hour to get there. Unfortunately, when we got there we were not able to view the flat as there was someone living in it and they would not let us in. It seemed that the agent who was supposed to show us around had not checked if the property was vacant as he was adamant that there was no one living there. It was obviously very disappointing for us as we had made the journey. It seems that it is just basic that you would check with the landlord before the viewing to make sure that the property is available to be shown. Disappointing experience, and therefore, poor rating.

We had really disappointing experience with a Winkworth Finchely department, to be more exact, with a staff member Lewis Impleton. First of all, I called to ask for the particular flat viewing to be arranged. He asked me quite few questions on the phone, which was fine, as he had enough information to consider, if he wanted to waste my time and energy by coming to view the flat on the busy working day. Please note, I WAS ASKED what is my salary, which alone, was actually exceeding the required costs of the particular flat, but I WAS NOT ASKED to send the documents, reference letters etc. Lewis WAS AWARE of me and my husband working as a self-employed, but as I assume now, he didn't really understand the nature of my work and didn't bother himself to introduce me to the l.lord as a contracted worker, 6 days a week. On the day of viewing, he showed us the flat, politely smiled at us and was very presentable. But that was it...Knowing how fast we needed to move, due to the lack of free time and busy schedulle, he still did not get back to me. When I decided to chase him myself, I only received a short email- saying, that actually he was speaking to land lord and suddenly finding out, that they wanted only FULLY EMPLOYED people... I have only one reason to think of- he didn't like my husband or to be more exact- his nationality, as to emphasize again- he DID NOT ask us to send any of the required documents, proofs etc. He just judged us by the fact, that we are self-employed....
