This is a lovely place to visit with the antiques at the front and a lovely tearoom/cafe at the back. My oatmilk latte and gluten free teacake were delicious! They are also a stockist of the Bracken Hill products. I intended calling back there on my way home to pick up some gluten free mincemeat; unfortunately a cancelled train meant that wasnt possible. Highly recommend this lovely business.

Saw a small stool in the window of Filey Antiques and Home. I had my little pug with me and the shop says no dogs. Consequently, I clipped him into his stroller and left him outside while I entered the shop. A woman with glasses came towards me. I was about to ask to view the stool when she shouted at me Your dog has had a wee on my sign. I have to carry that sign. I dont want you in my shop and she shut the inner door in my face. I said nothing, I was so shocked! I left the shop. As I walked away I heard a male behind me saying Excuse me. He introduced himself as the womens husband and apologised for the way she spoke to me and explained it was an accumulation of dogs peeing. My guess is that my dog wont be the only one to wee on the sign. Very few dogs when peeing could reach the top of their sign. If its an ongoing problem then perhaps they could wall mount the sign or raise it slightly instead of being verbally aggressive to a potential customer. I have posted a picture of the offending wee in photos. Ps. If the owner reads this you have spelt Barista incorrectly.
