Happy to board my cat here. I have used this cattery for 5 years. My cat always looks well cared for after his stay.

The Catery is very nice. The cats that are neutered have a large space to go walk around. Non neutered cats like mine gain weight very quickly as space is very small for them. Socially the man can shut you off any minute if he really wants to. He gets to the point though. I will be using again.

It's a great place to leave your cat when you need to. The owner is very kind and approachable. Our cat always seem to be happy when he has been there

Not a good experience for me I'm sorry to say. I chose them as they'd always been fine with my last cat. I was very clear when booking my new cat in that he has a heart problem, hasn't been in a cattery before as far as I know (former stray) and can be somewhat unpredictable. For those reasons I wanted to settle him into his pen. The owner John told me I was mollycoddling him (hello? You don't even know the cat), and was clearly keen to get me gone within minutes. Cat wasn't settling well so I asked what time they did their evening check to be told 'We don't, they have their food at 4pm and that's it. If they're still alive, they're still alive". I kid you not. I decided to take advice from the cat's vet given he was very stressed and wouldn't be seen until the next morning, over 14 hours' time. Vet was in clinic but called back a short while after and said take him home and try again in the morning when people are around. I relayed this to the owner who told me to take the cat home and leave him there, and I was accused of being 'clearly not happy with the cattery and upsetting the other cats'. I said very clearly that my problem was my cat, not the cattery, that I'd chosen them above others and that they'd looked after my last cat perfectly well several times. Not entirely sure how my being there 30 or 40 minutes was upsetting the other cats - how do they cope in the day time? I packed up the cat basket etc, and John asked for the notes card he'd written, which I'd inadvertently picked up with the vac certificate. I gave it to him and he ripped it up in front of me and walked off. I went to reception fully prepared to pay for a full day as a goodwill gesture to find he'd left. I'm frankly shocked. If he'd had the consideration or professionalism to say he'd pop over and check on the cat once for the first evening, I would have been happy, and would even have paid for it. It is all of a 10-yard walk from the house. If I ran my business like that I'd be unemployed in no time. Such a shame, the women I've spoken to there have always been lovely, but then, my last cat was very docile. Still, if they're still alive, they're still alive eh?
