Whilst visiting Ferndown, from West Sussex I had an accident with my glasses. I went in to see if they could do anything to help as needed my glasses for driving home In the dark and wet evening. Nothing was too much trouble and they were able to help by doing a temporary repair. Which lasted for over a month allowing me time to order a new pair with my own optician. Very Kind and compassionate.

Really truly has to be the best optitions i have ever been too and i am 75, they picked me up from home and took me back, after having drops in my eyes, the equipment they have must cover any eye problems a person has they arranged treatment for cataracts for me gave me a pair of sun glasses free because it was a bright sunny day, rarely have i ever seen such professionalism and courtesy, it was way above what a person would expect, and i am more than happy to recommend them to any one Mr R Anderson.

Great service from a long established local opticians. Felt I had a really comprehensive and accurate eye test, including various machines to photograph and examine my eye's health. I discussed that while I felt my vision was generally good I felt it was taking me longer/blinks to get my eyes to change between different focus distances. I was talked through and given a booklet on Presbyopia (weakening of the eye's muscle which is very common/inevitable from around 40 onwards) Varifocals are generally the main solution to this problem, however when I went back today David took the time to check my legal driving and reading distances with my current lenses + put lenses in front of my current glasses to show me how things would be with my distance updated to my latest prescription, and also what my reading would be with my full reading Add. While both would have been improved slightly by moving to varifocals I spend most of my time looking at large computer screens in mid-distance. Based on my individual circumstances David actually recommended we hold off on expensive varifocals for now and I stay with my current single lens glasses at the moment. Until either my distance or reading add get greater. This is different than other major chain opticians I went to, who just wanted to sell me their most expensive varifocals. And didn't care that my main daily medium distance vision needs would be much narrower width on varifocals, and so nowhere near as good for large multi-monitor use that's my daily job need. Great service!
