Would not recommend! My wife took her ring to Hamptons on 4th October for resizing and they advised it would take a few days. When she went to collect it, she was very upset to see the band badly mishapen, significantly thinned and chipped, the Platinum also had a lot of visible porosity, it looked a mess. I asked for this to be put right and initiallyHamptons agreed to repair the damage to the ring by replacing the half shank (bottom half of the ring) After waiting for several weeks, I went to collect the ring only to find it had not been repaired but just polished down! (We also found out from speaking to the national association of jewellers that the accreditation that was displayed on hamptons' website and throughout their shop, this being the reason we trusted the shop, is actually fake as Hamptons are not recognised by the national association of jewellers themselves. (This has since been removed from the website). I again asked Hamptons to put the damage right, Hamptons refused at first saying 'it's not worth it to repair the damage' and it was only when I had to escalate my complaint to threatening taking it to Trading Standards that they agreed to send the ring away to be repaired. Over 9 weeks from when it was originally sent in, on 10th December we got the ring back, it is still slightly mishapen and uneven but is acceptable. However, the upset caused by ruining my wife's ring, the unpleasant staff, the many shop visits and phone calls to check on progress and long wait to receive back the ring made our experience with Hamptons very bad.
