We hired West Country Catering to cater for our staff party, we were not sure on the kind of catering we wanted but John was able to give us loads of helpful advice and we decided to plump for a BBQ, the large and juicy handmade burgers and sausages were delicious, we were also provided with grilled, marinated chicken which was really tasty and moist, the vegetarians had a choice of halloumi tower and vegetable skewers all with a wide variety of sauces. We had a selection of salads that all went done well with all the staff. The food was beautifully presented and plentiful. Their timekeeping was excellent which was important as we had a fairly small window in which to serve all the staff. Afterwards everything was cleared away leaving our premises spotless. We will definitely book West Country Catering again and can't recommend John and his team highly enough.

I recently chose West Country Catering to supply a hog roast over 100 guests for our company Christmas party, I was so pleased I chose them as John and his fantastic team exceeded all expectations. It was a fairly last minute booking as we had been let down by another catering company but it was not a problem to them, their experience and professionalism took all the stress away and gave me the confidence to relax and just look forward to the event. He was able to put me in touch with the many other services I needed to ensure the day went smoothly which was a great help. He kept in touch regularly to ensure their were no last minute problems and was always just a phone call away. On the day they arrived on time, set everything up and was ready to serve at the arranged time. The food was really tasty and plentiful and so many guests complimented me on the food and went back for seconds, thirds in some cases! At the end of the event everything was cleared away and left spotless with the minimum of fuss. We will definitely recommend them and have already booked them for our mid summer party. Fantastic all round!

I would give 0 stars if I could. This company catered for my best friends wedding. Over 70% of the guests woke up the next day with food poisoning. The groom and his groomsmen had to clear the plates and food away as the staff said we were only paid until 6; were done. - sorry but your hired to cater, not just walk off when you believe to be done. The food was mixed up & people given incorrect food. The chicken was bland, the boneless curry goat (they had paid extra for boneless) turned up with half the goats carcus still init. The service was extremely slow, the wedding party were out having photos by the time they brought desert out, when complaints have been made by the couple to the company the ignorance and lack of apologises is appalling. Partial refunds should have been made for this based on the food poisoning alone. Dont EVER even consider hiring this company.

I had this catering company for my wedding last month. The service was disgusting and had a lot of complaint from my guests. My husbands 86 year old Grandmother asked for salt, as condiments were not provided which was not stated to us beforehand, she was told there is enough salt in your soup - this should be down to personal taste and not what the waiter thinks. I emailed a complaint to the company soon after the wedding to which they replied if I wanted salt I could of hired it. I have never heard of a catering company not suppling basic condiments before! Along with this, my grandparents had to wait ages for their starters when they were sat closest to the top table and other people who were sat with them had been served theirs, whilst other guests at the other end of the table were being served theres. The children were the last ones to be served, even though it had been an extremely long day and we had a hungry 11, 7 and 3 year old. We bought our own tea and coffee for our guests, but were not allowed in the kitchen area to make it. One of my friends asked for a glass of tap water as we had an outside bar which didnt have a running water supply and was told to get out of the kitchen. I understand that the staff were working in a very small area and had a lot of mouths to feed but some manners and customer service skills need to be addressed. The organisational skills were awful leading up to the big day and caused a lot of confusion. I was told the day after my wedding that the manager/owner of the company had asked for a glass of coke at the bar we had hired and when asked to pay then told the bar staff that he did not have his wallet on him and wanted the drink for free. I also stated that I would like the rehearsal to be done by email on the Monday before on the wedding, as at least then I had everything in writing because of previous confusion, however i was rang in the middle of my dinner on the Sunday instead because it suited him better and it was done over the phone. We had mushroom stroganoff which for some bizarre reason was served with veg and not rice, and was told that if we wanted the cake to be cut it would cost an extra 100!! Not to mention that we had already spent 2300 on two courses for our guests. Basically, I would NEVER recommend this so called catering company.
