The staff work very hard, and are perfectly reliable, but the Santander brand itself is a terrible company with no organisation, which is likely forcing us to experience the worst in-branch experience they can, to discourage it.
Unfortunately you still need to go in for certain things, and so brave this elderly, financially illiterate horde of confused, terrified pensioners.

First, he got the hump about me not hearing him call over me over as next customer, and let someone else jump the queue?! He shouted I called you over! I had to ask Was it ok that I didnt hear you? Out of order!
Unprofessionalism was shocking that has Santander employed him as a manager!
So told him Im here for an appointment (like he got out of bed to argue today) no apology that it couldnt be done. Just that the member of staff doesnt work here! No resolution to help or nothing! I asked so as a customer, you couldnt communicate this to let us know?! He said nothing he can do?!
Just left the banking industry and its shocking that another bank treats their customers so poorly. Seven years of banking, I would never talk or treat my customers like that.
Youve wasted my day off on making a complaint: 1 about your extremely DISGUSTING service. 2. Regarding the invisible appointment that you as a manager couldnt deal/help me with.
STAY AWAY FROM this branch and dont try to book an appointment on the telephone, you might get MARLON and the advisor may not even work there!
