Preventicum

My experience at Preventicum was fantastic. I had the Ultimate assessment and definitely left feeling safe in the knowledge I was in good health. I had my own private room with ensuite, the staff were really friendly, doctors very knowledgeable and didn't see another person in the clinic all day except the staff. Brilliant experience and would highly recommend!

The whole experience was overall really good but was marred by some equipment not working, namely the Cardiac/Pulmonary Exercise Stress Test, which is primarily why I opted for the Elite Assessment. The Physician, Dr Bronya Goring, was wonderfully attentive and extremely empathetic, and is a fantastic addition to the team. There was an issue with giving me my lunch right before attending an appointment with a Physio and Sports Coach, meaning I was rather full before undertaking some exercise. I would have preferred to do this before lunch. I also thought there was to be a specialised gait and biomechanics assessment but this failed to materialise. On a whole, I feel that the assessment is a little overpriced and could benefit from a more detailed and specific investigation into certain areas of concern.

I've been to Preventicum twice as part of getting a longer term grip on my health situation. The experience is fantastic (although I was initially hesitant about spending so much time in an MRI machine, it's reasonably relaxing in reality) and you get to see someone who is an expert in each field (radiography, general practice, heart, etc.) There is no denying the cost is out of the reach of most but I have conditions that make the peace of mind given by their results worth every penny and it also helps me make decisions to improve my health long term.

Preventicum is really worth the miney if you want to find out your health concerns. The written report that you get at the end of your meeting is really useful and tells you in detail about the steps to take to make you feel better and how your gp can arrange further treatment if required.
