Lawyers with a heart, I cannot recommend Farore Law enough. Every one that worked on my case was kind, understanding and patient, which was much appreciated given the sensitive nature of my tribunal. They also do a lot of advocacy and pro bono work and clearly truly care about women's rights in the workplace. Thank you so much Suzanne, Hayley, Emma and Louisa and every one else who assisted me.

Our recent business dealings with Farore Law (and its managing partner Suzanne McKie QC) have left us dismayed by what appears to be a deplorable lack of integrity and an attitude of contempt and evasiveness in dealing with a smaller business. In December 2020 we provided the firm with a quote for Covid-safe filming of Ms McKie for promotional purposes. Farore confirmed in writing in two separate emails that Ms McKie wished to go ahead and engage us. Following this, we sent Farore a contract with an initial request for 1000 that was due upon receipt. Meanwhile, anticipating payment, we provided our creative expertise in good faith and attended a site visit requested by them at short notice. Later after patiently fielding dozens of emails, Farore unexpectedly cancelled the booking citing Covid. This was despite us making every effort to accommodate Ms McKies requirements, including travel outside London to film her. In light of this reversal, we proposed Farore pay a nominal 150 abortive fee to cover our basic costs for time spent on their behalf. Much to our surprise, Suzanne McKie QC wrote back personally and ungraciously refused! We found this niggardly stance to be quite denigrating given all the time and attention we provided in good faith. After challenging the matter further, Ms McKie chose to treat our persistence as some sort of personal attack, rather than reflecting on her own firms lack of decency and depreciating treatment of our time. Our understanding of Farores position is that since they had avoided signing the contract during this period and allowed the upfront fee of 1000 to fall overdue, they were not legally obligated. Whilst we acknowledge this, it overlooks the trust and good faith we placed in their word as expressed in the several written requests to engage us and all the efforts subsequently expended on their behalf. Ms McKie further devalued our position over nominal recompense stating that she frequently works on pro bono or speculative basis and suggested that the work undertaken by us on Farores behalf should likewise be seen as a speculation - and not arising from any firm commitment as we originally perceived it. Sadly, this seems less than honourable behaviour by a law firm which prides itself in standing up for decency and justice. Indeed, we feel this experience reveals a lot about Farores true values and ethics especially towards a smaller business. UPDATE since posting our review Farore Law has issued us with written legal threats and we believe are trying to intimate us into removing this review. We see this a worrying attempt by an experienced law firm at bullying a smaller business through mis-using their legal position

I have dealt with Suzanne McKie QC on a professional basis for over 20 years. She has a sharp legal mind and can readily identify the salient points in often complex litigation. She is empathetic and tries her very best for her clients. Having her in your corner means you have the very best chance of success. I highly recommend her and her firm.

I approached Suzanne McKie for advice concerning a redundancy process that my employers had started. Suzanne was very supportive and liaised with my employer on my behalf. As a firm, experienced and very knowledgeable negotiator Suzanne secured a very acceptable settlement, four times that originally offered. Suzanne was caring and professional and I sincerely recommend her.
