Beginning of February 2019 I took my wedding dress to SE Alterations who was recommended from the dress shop. I asked for minimal alterations but mainly for the dress to be let out in certain places. The last two times I went for a fitting she was an emotional mess. Telling me all her personal problems but promised me my dress would be finished. 16th July she put a status up on Facebook saying she was closing the shop, I messaged her and she assured me she'd finish my dress. I went in on Monday 29th July because I was stressing, again she promised me it'd be sorted. Tuesday 30th July 2019 I look on Facebook and see someone had commented on her Facebook saying the shop was closing. I rang her and no answer. I rang the bridal shop to be informed that SE alterations is closing her shop with immediate effect. No one bothered to contact me prior to this. I ended up having a breakdown in work. Went to collect my dress today, with pins still in it and alterations not finished. Luckily my mother in law to be found me another seamstress who agreed to try and sort my dress. She tried her best but due to the dress design/material she can't let it out. Something Sandra never told me. I've had to take a day off work and I'm now going to have to buy a new wedding dress. And I get married this Saturday. Sandra has since removed her Facebook page but people need to know. I appreciate that Sandra is reportedly not well but this could have been communicated to me on numerous occasions either face to face or via telephone. When I went to get the dress today I didn't even get an apology. On her Facebook page there were several other woman also very unhappy that they've been left with days to sort their dress.
