This school is transformational for many the boys who attend it. All have a learning difficulty of some degree. The school embraces these difficulties, builds their confidence and helps each individual boy find their own strengths. The boys feel understood by the amazing team of relentlessly hardworking staff who are constantly striving to help them reach a point where they are prepared for exams and indeed the next stages of their life. More House understand it is not only about focussing on academics but also preparing them both socially and emotionally. For many of these boys, they had struggled to cope in other schools that had not understood their needs or how to deal with them, resulting in many of them arriving with low self-esteem and confidence. More House builds the boys up gradually helps them find their way again. This is an outstanding school, that is not only passionate about teaching the boys in More House but sharing learning and specific teaching methods with other schools in order to benefit the wider community.
