I purchased a Padcaster teleprompter from Raiveon three years ago and its been in use almost daily ever since, without any problems. Theres a lot I like about it A key feature for me is its very small compared to many other teleprompters. This is important to me as the camera it sits on is on my desk between two monitors where I work all the time, so a small footprint is really important. I didnt want to go for one that uses an iPad / tablet, that would have been too big for where I want to use it most of the time. So my preference was for one that works with my phone. Its robust and solid. Im constantly inserting my phone in and out of it and the product has held up well for years - its still as good as new. The Padcaster iPhone app used to display the presentation text is great and, for my needs, has proved more than sufficient. Others may want something with greater functionality and theres nothing to stop you using a different app with this Teleprompter should you choose. But if all you want are the basics: text appearance, size and speed controls, this one does the job fine. Theres also a web app which is useful for off-camera presentation. Both the iPhone app and the web app sync up with text files on your computer - this is REALLY useful and saves a lot of time and is one of the most important features for me (not all apps do this). I have since replaced the remote control which came with it. The one it arrived with was fine and still works, however the buttons made a click sound which were picked up by my mics so I decided to get a new silent one which offers smoother, quieter control. The teleprompter comes with around ten different lens ring fittings so its likely to work with whatever size lens you have. But it might be worth checking first that your lens is a compatible size. I have no hesitation recommending this Padcaster teleprompter to others. Great value for money.
