The reason we left our previous GP practice after 40yrs was because we couldn't get appointments and the GPs constantly fobbed us off. FDMP looked promising at first. However, like others we are now unable to get an appointment. We're constantly directed to Integrated Care or AE (yes, AE, even for relatively minor issues). Were all aware of the covid situation but many of us feel that's just an excuse for FDMP now.... Update 04042023: so now to get an appointment they insist you use their online app. That's fine if you're able to but there are many elderly people that aren't confident with this sort of process. Worse is that you can only do online consultations during certain times. This negates the convenience of using an app.

Awful experience, cannot get a single appointment. Youll schedule something in and they dont bother calling you, they promise a follow up which never happens - good luck getting seen here

A fantastic GP practice with outstanding doctors and nurses offering care which is not only responsive and compassionate but, in my experience, supercedes specialist care. It takes a great deal of skilled health professionals, leadership, and dedicated teamwork to achieve what this team achieved for my mum. Words can not describe how grateful my family are to the practice for the excellence of care and compassion looking after our mothers health throughout the 10+ years she was registered here which undoubtedly gave her so many healthy years of life overseen by Dr ODowd. During her final 6 months of life living with cancer the care provided by Farnham Dene was absolutely outstanding and her every need was met with seamlessly perfect care. Every member of the team we spoke to or met with, from the reception staff to the clinical team, were so patient and kind, efficient and responsive and went above and beyond. The Farnham Dene team of nurses and drs gave us such dedicated care over the years managing highly complex clinical situations with expertise and experience (and covered all the gaps in service and much more that couldnt be provided by the specialist care teams). The doctors have all been amazing, and, in the last 6 months Dr Wellham was outstanding in looking after my mums cancer care and his specialist knowledge was phenomenal helping manage her cancer symptoms and extend her life with as much comfort and quality as possible. He was there at every step ringing regularly to check on her or when admitted to hospital and always responded so quickly to calls or requests for help with fantastic advice and treatment. Also we will be eternally grateful to the wonderful district nurses (especially Chrissie and Tracey) who are amazing nurses who went above and beyond in their care and treatment. The district nurses worked so tirelessly and responsively with such dedication and skill over months providing around the clock, intensive and life-changing care to my mother (as well as us as carers) with true heartfelt compassion. When we needed an urgent home visit Dr Brown visited so quickly and was so kind and competent and arranged rapid treatment that gave us the gift of a few more weeks of quality life. The end of life medicines prescribed by the drs and administered by the nurses not only prolonged her life, but gave us our mother back for a miraculous last couple of weeks essentially reversing her symptoms temporarily and allowing some precious times together when her illness progressed and she rapidly deteriorated. I could not have asked for a more superb GP practice for a family member to be registered with and will remain forever thankful to the team for caring for her at home alongside the hospice team - exemplary care provided by truly wonderful people. There can be no greater goal in medicine than everything you achieved for my mother. This helped us immeasurably as a family in so many ways and enabled my mother to live as well as you can hope for in her twilight years and die equally as well as can be hoped for (at home with family, without pain and surrounded by true grace and love).

Most argumentative and evasive receptionist staff. When you are new to Surgery and unfamiliar with process with prescriptions, such as where they go and if they have been created - receptionists could do with being patient not scolding the new patient because they have never been told the procedures.
