Feeling very grateful to Summercroft!! I missed a minor NHS operation at Chelsfield Park for a VERY good reason - I had Covid. When I rang Chelsfield Park they were most grateful to me for NOT showing up. However, wires got crossed and Summerfield contacted me to say that I'd been labelled only a no-show by Chelsfield Park and wouldn't be offered another op. I explained to Summercroft what had REALLY happened and Summercroft fixed it. When I mentioned in passing that I was disappointed they weren't contacting me about my cataract, they went out of their way to ensure that I'm on the list. Really, they are beyond kind and thoughtful, and under SUCH pressure, too.

Avoid this GP practice at all costs. Impossible to get an appointment. The rule is to call at 8am, you end up in a queue and when you finally get speak to someone.. all the appts are gone and are told to call back the next day at 8am. You cannot make an appt at the reception desk in person, you have to call them. You can do a consultation online, wait 48 hours but 9 times out of 10, the GP cant help you or they cant prescribe what you need. Total waste of an NHS service.

It is always bad. Last few months it became worse. Don't get appointment even calling at dot 8:00. They say call some other day. They even say don't call on Monday. Normally I don't like to talk to them unless it is really urgent. I forgot when they saw me face2face even for an issue where you need physical presence they try to avoid. Receptionist once told me if it's serious issue then they will see. When I called them for a serious issue they said I should go to A&E.

I am absolutely shocked with what my 2 children and I experienced at this practice last Friday 13th Jan! I can not believe reading the reviews nothing has been done. Firstly the receptionist was so so rude, and did not acknowledge us, but that did not compare to the disgraceful behaviour of the phlebotomist! I had booked my son for a blood test through gp alliance as he had been experiencing stomach pains and weakness on and off for a while. My GP receptionist had told me that I can book an appointment at any surgery through the gp alliance site. When we were called through I was told that the booking wasn't in my sons name, but in mine, and that he has to go to the pruh peads department. I explained what my gp receptionist had said, and that I was able to add my sons details on the website when I had logged in, but apologised if I had done it incorrectly, I was just following the GP's advice as my son has never needed a blood test before. I was told that I am lying, and that there is no way I would have been able to do that, but seen as he is here she would do it anyway (which I have since got clarification that she could have done it as his 13th birthday was the following week!) Her attitude was absolutely disgusting. My son kept looking at me as if to say why is this lady so angry with us! I did not say anything, but she continued to imply that I was a liar instead of caring for my son. When I questioned why is she being so rude, she became very aggressive shouting get out and you have an attitude love! I simply asked what was the problem, I had explained what happened, if she could not do my sons blood test that I would book with the PRUH. She continued to say that you have an attitude, and asked my son if he was happy for me to leave the room! Which of course he wasn't. When I said no he is 12, she replied ' am I talking to you or him!' She then continued to shout don't like your attitude get out! At this point I did not want to upset my children further, so we rushed out. I said to the receptionist on leaving that I have never experienced anything like that in my life. The phlebotomist had heard this so decided to follow me through reception to the front door of the practice shouting 'what did you say!' At this point my 9 year old daughter was crying. I said please you are upsetting my children and, my son is unwell, you are being very unprofessional! I will never forget her reply! ' not my problem, get out!' We left in utter shock and horror, my husband had to meet us in the car park as I could not drive. I phoned the practice straight away to report it, but unfortunately the practice does not deal with their own phone lines, it was gp alliance who i got through to, and advised me that I must report this. I have worked in healthcare for 20 years now, and never have I ever experienced anything like this in my career, or has any of my colleagues acted in such an appalling way. To follow a patient out of the surgery, especially when we had already opened the door to leave, is gross misconduct regardless. If I had acted that way within my role as a healthcare professional I would be immediately dismissed! My son said he has never seen an adult act like that, never mind a nurse! He of course still needed a blood test, but unfortunately thanks to this experience he had suffered, it has caused him anxiety, and he was very hesitant and upset to have it done. I did manage to get an appointment with a friend/colleague as unfortunately he continued to feel poorly, and was diagnosed with colitis caused by a stomach bacteria. He also requires further testing. I will not let this go. I have found out that this phlebotomist is called Vanessa, and she is employed by GP alliance. I am making a formal complaint with the surgery, gp alliance, nhs, and the cqc. No one should ever experience what we experienced. As mentioned I have worked in healthcare for 20 years now, and have a brilliant rapour with my patients. Unfortunately Google will not let me write anymore, but maybe she should consider an alternative career!
