I have used this company before a few times and were very good. On this occasion very bad. I phoned and was initially very helpful. I wanted 5 additional sockets installing and 4 more "sunk" into the wall as currently surface mounted in bedrooms. They came out within 24 hours to scope the work. The date was booked with 2 week lead time and I booked the day off work and arranged for other trades to come in on the same day. All good so far! Then the problems.... Being much more expensive than anticipated and initial quote over the phone, as they want full day and "two man job". I asked to adjust the scope of the work from 5 additional sockets to 2. They still charged me full day rates and just knocked off ~20.00 for materials. So reluctantly, I obviously confirmed original quote as I trusted their work. They then replied saying they booked in another job and no longer available to do the work. Ridiculous. It was all confirmed and booked in I was just asking to adjust the scope of the original works. Be warned. Liable to let you down.

I have used BCG on a number of occasions over the last 2 years - from small jobs (replacing the odd light fitting) to re-wiring a kitchen completely and also completely re-wiring the upstairs ring main after a significant amount of fault finding. None of this was straightforward in my property, with issues due to the previous wiring at each and every turn. However, BCG quickly overcame these, kept me fully informed on timing and cost throughout and were thoroughly professional. Always on time and always left the place clean and tidy afterwards. I'd definitely recommend them.
