I would appreciate a better range of savoury snacks but the staff seem very friendly. When the guy said "Have a good one!" to me today it felt like he meant it. It gave me a bit of a lift.

I have been a regular customer of this shop for some time and have been made to feel like a friend, with one particularly nice member of staff wishing me a good weekend each time he serves me. I thought that this was a really friendly little shop. However, on my most recent visit a member of staff noticed me taking some photos and told me that you are not allowed to take photos in the shop so I said ok, implying that I had stopped, and continued walking with a view to buying something. However, the member of staff then started shouting at me that it is illegal to take photos in shops and was aggressive and rude when I tried to explain that it isn't. Perhaps realising that I had a better understanding of the law than him, the member of staff then asked me to leave the shop, which he is of course within his rights to do. I do my utmost to stay on the right side of the law and I know that there is nothing wrong with taking photos in shops if you haven't already been told not to. No one would think twice about taking photos of their family in a hotel, for example, and legally taking photos in a shop is no different - they are both private property. To be honest it is pretty futile to ask customers not to take photos in my opinion as you can't be watching every customer every second and a shop cannot legally force someone to delete photos that they have already taken. Also if someone really wants the photos, they could just ask a friend to go and take them - they certainly wouldn't be a criminal. If the member of staff had asked me politely not to take photos then I would have understood and I would not be leaving a bad review. I think that the way in which shops treat customers who take photos says a lot about what they are really like and surely a shop can't really care about its customers if they treat people like this? I won't try to take photos again at this shop now that I have been told that they do not allow it. And if I came across as rude in any way at the time, it was merely because I was shocked to be treated in this way by a member of staff at what I thought was a friendly shop. However, it seems unacceptable to shout out publicly that someone is breaking the law when it isn't true and this shop has now lost me as a customer. It's frustrating that I don't know the names of the staff members here as I would like to highlight that the member of staff who normally serves me is extremely friendly and I am sure that he would not have treated me like this. The really nice one has a ponytail (have forgotten name). The one who was aggressive also does, however I think that he has a larger build (no offence intended, it's just the only way I can think of to differentiate them) and he has an interesting name (I think it may be Dawes). I don't like to damage businesses (contrary to what the aggressive member of staff might think) and if the shop apologises then I would be happy to remove this review (in case the shop doesn't read these reviews, if anyone is reading this and will be going to this shop soon, please do make them aware of it. I'm sure that the shop will be able to reply to this review on here and I will see the reply). I would also be happy to come and discuss the matter with the shop and bring some closure to this. I am normally in the area on Saturdays. I know that it's natural for businesses to be afraid of anyone who doesn't seem like a normal customer but I am a reasonable person and am happy to have an amicable conversation with anyone who is not obnoxious. I appreciate that the member of staff who was aggressive may have been having a bad day - maybe his wife just left him or something for all I know - so apologies in advance to the member of staff in question if he behaved out of character for personal reasons. It is a shame that the member of staff didn't feel able to have a reasonable conversation with me about this at the time. It is because of this that I have been feeling really upset since this happened and it is so unnecessary. I suffer from anxiety and it has been inflamed by this incident.
