A great location and great facilities. We stayed at October half term so the site wasn't too busy. The only but significant disappointment was that our pitch was a cast concrete pitch with gravel over the top - no good for an awning. The site staff didn't seem to know this was an issue and couldn't change our pitch that evening. We spoke to another guest later in the week who had experienced the same problem. Pitches L17, 18 and 12 are concrete, possibly more too. If you are bringing an awning, choose you pitch carefully!

Very scenic location for a caravan site. The place has plenty of activities, especially watersports. Lots of trails for walking and biking. A great place to take a family on holiday. There is a bar and restaurant, dog friendly, that is reasonably priced for a holiday park. We ate there and the food was very good. The caravan park itself? Not the greatest we've stayed at. The pitches are far from level, and you would be advised to bring chocks/ blocks, basically anything you can use to level your caravan. Ours was 2ft off the floor at the back, lucky we had lots of timber blocks to use. The toilet block wasn't the greatest either. Toilets were blocked with toilet roll, floors very wet, unsure what with. The showers work very well, but there's not much room for your clothes and towels. My trainers ended up saturated. And there's a strong smell of pee around the place. The worst thing however was the fact that on the night we arrived, by 9 o'clock, the ladies toilet and shower block was locked. There is a code to unlock it, but no one at reception knows what it is. My wife had to phone reception the next morning, and still it took an hour and a half to rectify the problem. So the ladies facilities were unavailable for over 12 hours. Totally unacceptable, especially for 40 a night. There were people here in campervans, with no toilet. We are going to complain once we get home, as it is unfair to have paid full price to get a full night with no toilet or shower. Should also mention the midges, but that is not the fault of the park, and they do give you fair warning. There are millions of them and I was bitten hundreds of times. Come prepared, or suffer. Overall, a lovely place. But not the greatest toilet and shower facilities, or customer service.
