        My mother was referred here by her optician for cataract investigation. Because she is extremely hard of hearing and cannot hear with Covid masks on because she lip reads they would not see her. They said the environment was not suitable. The optician said in the referral she was hard of hearing. Disappointing about the fact there were no adaptations for individuals who are so hard of hearing (but not profoundly deaf enough to use British sign language). Equality legislation not taken seriously in this world generally, and there seemed to be a fear in dealing with someone who could not hear although staff were friendly and polite enough.
