Unique piece of social history, the only remaining gasworks in England. Highly recommended! Very interesting, even if you're not engineering minded. Great examples of old cookers, heaters, lamps etc. Run by very knowledgeable volunteers. Open Thursdays and Fridays from 1p till 1. No entrance fee, donations welcomed Parking: Parked in Bridge Street nearby. No problem finding a space even though it was market day
