Flying Scholarships for Disabled People FSDP

If, anyone who reads this review, are considering applying for a Flying Scholarship, and suffer from Autism or any other hidden disability, which would require a carer, please don't bother contemplating it. This is because FSDP will automatically reject an interest in applying for a Flying Scholarship or an application for it from anyone who requires a carer, even though they ask that question on the Registration Form. They say it is not their policy to accommodate carers, but fail to acknowledge that for some, particularly people with Autism, cannot function without a carer, as they are unable to be independent. FSDP claim that the independence is the aim of their Scholarships. Nor would they act on other reasonable adjustments I requested, claiming they were not practicable, but in fact they were. I tried to negotiate about these things, but FSDP would not back down or co-operate fully with me. I strongly recommend people to avoid this organisation - there are plenty of other organisations who offer flying scholarships to people with every sort of disability and are far more accommodating to their needs.
