Not knocking the staff as they were really nice but the place is nothing to write home about. It's nice and spacious which is always a plus in my book but it was the food I had a problem with. One popular dish: was not able to order which isn't a crime but annoying. Then after ordering alternative, they venue had run out of salt conpletely! Not come across this before but again, annoying. When my food arrived (Tennessee Burger), it came as a chicken burger rather than a beef burger - again, annoying as I hadn't ordered that and would have picked something different if staff would of informed me beforehand. Chip count was good which was a bonus! But the burger wasn't too good - the bun had been overcooked (microwaved?) for too long and was hard. Between the chicken burger which didn't taste great and a hard bun, I left most of it which is unusual as usually polish it off. The place was also a little grubbier than usual - I'm used to Wetherspoons (when in Croydon, tend to go to the George on George Street). I get the compromise but got the feeling it needed a spring clean - but that could just be a Croydon thing. The George, also grubby is preferable and I'd choose that over the Milan Bar. If they could improve their food and have menu items available and not substitute, that would be a start but the main thing going for it is that it's competitively priced but it has to match other Wetherspoons which it didn't.
