Towergate Insurance

Had boat insurance with them for many years. Dont think they are as good as they used to be. Need some legal support, so let's see what develops. So far asked several times for someone to get back to me but 3 weeks later still nothing. You have to go via a company called Davis Group who I think must be paid to turn down as many potential claims as they can. Very dissapointed

I cancelled my policy as I sold my business premises I had insured with them. I was told I would receive a refund of 977.00 and this was confirmed in writing. Finally after waiting 72 days they have refunded my money. After endless calls to various members of their staff I was given every excuse under the sun as to why this took so long. Not once did I receive a call back or an email update from anyone I spoke to that said they would look into it and get back to me. They even managed to refund my money to the wrong account even though they read back to me my account details I wanted the refunded payment sent back to on several occasions. If they are this disorganised when dealing with a simple request I dread to think what would have happened if I had had to make a claim! I wonder how they would have felt if I told them I wanted insurance with them but I would not pay them for 72 days after taking out the policy but I still wanted to be fully covered!! Although I have recommended their services to others in the past I will not be doing this in the future.
