I have worked here for about 6 years as a carer and the work is very rewarding not enough staff but thats the same in most places Shifts are ok wages are just basic rate some staff are great

My sister was in here for several months, and after reading their last review i totally agree with everything in it. My sister died in this home after being neglected, and left without being washed, food left on the side, dressings left on the side, bed soaking, cather bag full to the brim. the smell that something had gone off was strong. the heat in the bedroom was astonishing. and bottles left on the banister rails. however i would like to thank sammy from the nursing unit who went above and beyond for my sister, despite not having assistance from her fellow staff. Otherwise, please think seriously about putting your loved ones in here.

My wifes aunt is currently at acorn lodge where she has been for the past year or so the staff are very caring They always keep us informed. She has put weight on since moving into the home and particularly enjoys the activities As a family we would recommend this home
